First Heat

You can enter the contest in either the 8-11 (Junior) or 11- 14 (Senior) category . HEAT 1 will open between 27 and 28 October and it can be tried at any time in that window. The Quiz will be based on a series of six past editions of Britannica’s What on Earth! Magazine and digital editions will be made available to you free of charge when you enter.

The top 1OO entries (all correct and the fastest time to complete) will then be invited to take part in HEAT 2 which will take place live and on-line the following weekend.

In-Person Finals Day

The top scoring Junior and Senior players will be invited to the all day, central London live final on Tuesday 28 November to take place at the fabulous Stationer’s Hall in the City of London. Contestants are welcome to bring friends and family to cheer them along.

To ensure accessibility for all, a bursary is available for travel costs for those participating in the live London final.
