RULES & IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR INDIVIDUALS
Participation in the quiz is implies that all individuals and everybody in the school agrees to be bound by the rules.
Each individual can enter only once.
A maximum of two individuals may share the same email address and postcode,
Individuals must be within the age bracket of either 8 to 11 or 11 to 14 years of age.
During the Heats and Finals the team may access the What On Earth! magazine at any time, but no other resource, publication or data source may be used except by specific permission from the organisers
The questions shall only be answered by the registered individual and they may not be assisted by other students, teachers or adults. An individual may be excluded if the organisers believe that assistance has been provided.
Participation indicates agreement that the Organisers may use any information and data for promotional purposes including sharing with their partners.
Participation indicates agreement that the Organisers may screen grab, photograph or video or audio record all participants and supporters and that such records belong to the Organisers and may be used without restriction.
The Individuals taking part are required to participate in surveys and questionnaires and may be asked for quotes and comments.
The Organisers accept no responsibility for technological, digital or other difficulties, in particular for the failure of any quiz submissions.
Any adjustments needed or special requirements must be informed to the Organisers at least 7 days before they are relevant and the Organisers will make reasonable effort to accommodate such requirements although they carry no obligation.
This Quiz is open to residents of Great Britain and Ireland.
Family members of the Organisers employees and associates are not permitted to enter.
The Organisers reserve the right to make changes to any published information.
The Organisers reserve the right to exclude any individual at any time and without explanation.
The Organisers decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
Each individual that gets through the on-line heats and is invited and attends the Live Finals Day in London, is entitled to a travel bursary.
The bursary is calculated using Google Maps and is calculated on road milage from the Finals venue to the normal residential address of the individual, which may need to be confirmed.:
For a return journey
O to 25 miles: A lump sum of £4O
26 miles to 3OO miles: The distance of the return journey multiplied by £O.5O, plus a lump sum of £4O

We, the Organisers take your privacy very seriously and are committed to protecting your personal information, in whatever form it takes, including digital information.
In taking part in the What On Earth! Quiz, your personal details, including your name, postal address, email address and telephone number will be retained in order to enable us to communicate with you as the Quiz progresses, but also to enable us to contact you in subsequent years in relation to the Quiz, but for no other purpose.
We may ask you to complete questionnaires or surveys before or after the Quiz. The data collected by such questionnaires or surveys will only be used by us to make sure that we can improve the quiz and other services in future years.
